It's always sad when a truly creative person dies. I loved the Paranoia game and spent many happy hours with the Gurps books. I felt much the same when Linda Smith, British comedienne, passed away earlier this year from cancer. She was gifted. The world loses something when people like this die. Some indefinable something that we really can't spare.
Thanks for the links, by the way. I read the revised Genesis verses to my Son, who loved them. I remember reading and enjoying his two Star Trek books, way back when. I shall have to go find some of his other work. The best honor one can pay to a writer is to Read him, after all. May he rest in peace.
I still maintain that The final reflection is the finest achievement of fanfiction, ever. It is fanfic: a loving tribute to the Trek universe. And it is a great SF novel in its own right.
