A possibly unwarranted good mood.

Friends, the sight of Jeremy Clarkson doing a plank is going to stay with me a long time. Oh, god. The sight of James May delighted by MiG-15s was also great, but in a very different sort of way. A much nicer way.

We're catching up on House at last and yeah, we're enjoying this season immensely. The addition of the AppleTV gadget to our pile of gadgetry has made iTMS season passes the best way to watch TV by far. We can watch it on a TV instead of on a computer screen, for starters, and the extra benefit is no freaking commercials. My conscience is happy with this solution because I have paid for the content, thus doing my bit to reward things I like with my money.

Here's something ultra-nerdy. Recently updated files in my buffy fic folder:

You will note the hyper-neat file naming scheme that tells you what each of these stories is. I think the Council Marriage edit was trivial, however, so don't get all stoked about that one. Also note the relative giant-ness of the knighting story. 150K bytes on disk works out to 27K words. Will be my longest by far when finally done.

You know, I think I love all seven of those stories. And this novel outline I've been writing this week. I think I like that too.

  • Whoops

24,000 words already in the demonic-transformation soulbonding wingfic. And I am still working out the main bloody conflict plot thingie. Oh crap.

  • Oh, right.

It occurs to me that I'd better start working on my Summer of Giles story now, hadn't I, given the pace at which I write these days. I know what I'm…

  • In which I am not yet a year older.

Today's not my birthday, nor is it penwiper26's, no matter what LJ is telling you. What an odd bug to have, after all these years. Today…
