List your six favorite television shows now, before looking at the questions.
3. Forsyte Saga (BBC)
4. Star Trek OS
Okay, that hurt only a little.
Who is your favorite character from #2?
Commander Sinclair. Or Londo. Um, yellow, no, bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue!
Who is your least favorite character from #4?
What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Buffy would be Slaying in Springfield.
What is your favorite 'ship from #6?
This may seem bizarre, but I have never read any Firefly fanfic, never considered it from a fannish point of view, and never considering shipping or slashing it. And this is doubly odd because Firefly was my entry to Buffy fandom. (Remind me to tell this story, because it is amusing. Mildly. If you're bored.)
If you were to fix up one person from #3 and one from #6 on a blind date, who would it be?
Oh dear lord. I think Soames would need a nice session with Inara. Unwind some of that unbearable sexual tension and the guy would be more human.
If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be and what would you do?
Barhopping with McCoy on shore leave. No doubt about it.
If you could change one thing about #2's plotline, what would it be?
Well, this one's a doozy: I'd return to the original Sinclair plotline. No Sheridan. Man, what a story that would have been. Marries Delenn, whom he loved since before the change. Has a child. The station is destroyed. The Centari fall. And in the far future, he brings B4 back and completes the circle, as Valen.
Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them.
Characters in the Simpsons don't have relationships with each other worth describing. Everything can change immediately for the sake of a joke. Well, I suppose Marge and Homer have a relationship. Ugh. I don't want to think about this any further.
If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
I'd save Soames because Buffy's suicidal. And would only get resurrected anyway. Plus I like Soames better.
If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
Kirk / Spock / McCoy is the right order. Shrug.
If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like and what would their role be?
Oh dear lord, another in-depth question about Firefly, when I have spent 0 time thinking about it in-depth.
What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?
Oh man, which one is my favorite? So many to choose from. "And the sky full of stars"? "Babylon Squared"? "The coming of shadows"? "Severed dreams"? "Z'ha'dum"? Okay, "Signs and Portents". Morden asks, "What do you want?" and Londo answers. The delicious thing about this episode is that it's fizzing with newly-introduced potential. It raises questions, so many questions. We haven't had the disappointment of the answers yet.
In some sense, any answer is a minor letdown. Once the lightning jumps, the voltage drops to zero and the thrill is over. And alas, some of B5's answers were disappointing in themselves.
If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it?
Anya, during season 4, early, and preferably by means of a 16-ton weight decending from the sky. With a really loud BONK! sound effect. I find her intolerable when she's not paired with Giles.
If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
HA! #3 by default, but #3 would probably win anyway paired against any of the others.
So, I saved the best question for last. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
Rupert Giles hands down no contest.
