Do you really want to back up your LJ locally? With icons and comments and all that happy stuff? Then you want to use wget. This is a gnu utility for grabbing web and ftp resources. It comes with most Linux distros, but not with OS X.

I would appreciate hearing from a non-programmer how the wget download from VersionTracker went for you.

"Thusia" draft not finished, but the sludge I currently have is off in the hands of the beta-reader, who can perhaps head trouble off at the pass.

I started two stories in response to the poll prompts from last week. One has the working title "Post-Chosen Motel Cliche" and the other has the "Mysterious Captivity Cliche". Just so you know that you're going to be getting some quality fiction here.

More great icons by 10000_pixels aka Isis over at summer_of_giles. At this rate, the event is going to make my head explode from sheer overload from the daily goodness.
