Dammit, I can't decide what to work on tonight: Giles & Ethan in hell (rescuing Buffy) or Giles/Buffy post-Becoming (sweet charity auction fic). Which one would be more self-indulgent? Hmm. One of them is angsty and bleak but ends in peace, and the other is dark and wild and full of things that disturb me a little bit. Hmm, I say once again.

Bet none of you are online right now. How shall I procrastinate, then?

And as a capper to my awesome day, I'm coming down sick with something. Possibly something the husband had first. Dammit. Send hurt/comfort recs, drabbles, etc. Also (non-spoilerishly), I really really dug the hurt/comfort in last night's House.

Also I note in passing that those of you engaged in posting long multi-part BG fic could maybe, you know, nudge up the posting schedule. A lot. I bribe with fic, you know. Meaningful cough.

You don't want to know how many of these I've already resorted to.

1. Working on the perfect writing soundtrack.
2. Cleaning up the tags on my music collection.
3. Sorting my BPAL imps alphabetically.
4. Fixing minor bugs in my fic archive software.
5. Cleaning the garage and putting away the husband's latest tool explosions.
6. Spring-cleaning.
7. Taking a long hot bath with a glass of the Macallan on the edge of the tub.
8. Playing WOW.
9. Finishing the three novels I started reading recently then wandered off bored from.
10. Watching more BSG.
11. Working on another story. Any other story.

Oh, gawd, I'm going to have to write, aren't I. Comfort me.

I am writing commentary for the absurdly-titled "A Bottle of Jack Daniels Following Apocalypse", and all I can think is: I need more Buffy/Giles. New BG. Now please. Am having severe withdrawal symptoms.

Might be reduced to re-reading The Transformations Quartet for the Nth time. Angsty traumatic tortured Giles in braces with the lovely speech patterns of an educated Englishman, and a fascinating Buffy characterization I've never seen elsewhere. Mmm.

Can has commentfic or other distracting/cheering/motivating entertainment?
